Nokia Infotips

This infotip is a quite rough demo with the simplest font-end to give the idea about what my work looked a bit like.❤

The major thing about my real work is the structure I built that enabled content auto-matching.


CSS Code

It was quite a challenging but exciting experience to work as a Full-stack Developer at Nokia. I worked on everything related to the Context Sensitive Help Infotips for a cloud management dashboard. It covered demand defining, designing, and especially building everything out. I really learned a lot a lot and gradually got familiar with the whole process of web development; especially, I'm comfortable with front-end right now.

I cannot say more due to confidentiality. For providing a rough idea, I implemented a fake demo of infotip following the page title above; and designed a different web as blurred in the picture.

  • Challenge 1: Structure Inheritance

    A single function might be simple, but it was challenging when fitting it into a vast web structure. Our dashboard uses Horizon package, so some overriding and inheritance were implemented with python.

  • Challenge 2: Generically Expanding

    The basic requirement is that nothing is hard-coded, so in case of expanding the infotip to wherever else, almost nothing is supposed to be modified. I achieved this auto-matching by JavaScript.
